Maine Potato Blossom Festival

For 56 years the Maine Potato Blossom Festival has been providing amusement and fun for one and all. It is a hosted each July in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Some highlights of the 10- day family-oriented festival are: mashed potato wrestling, the Maine Potato Blossom pageants, an antique tractor show, and a banquet honoring the Farm Family of the Year and
for the first time in 2003 , a Bluegrass Festival. It is a time when Fort Fairfield welcomes all back, and welcomes new visitors. The Potato Blossom parade attracts the young and the young at heart. Many legislative dignitaries and other officials make appearances during the festival. The festival is held when the potato blossoms are in bloom and visitors are
greeted with field upon field of the beautiful blossoms. Aroostook County is truly a beautiful site to see. All are welcome to come and experience a tradition of Aroostook County - The Maine Potato Blossom Festival!
